Looking Back and Forth!

My how time flies by.  My boys just keep getting bigger and bigger.  My bones seems to just keep getting creakier and creakier!  Today I'm looking back and counting my blessings, but I'm also looking forward to new and greater joys in the days to come! August Blessings: Every Sunday in August we have had 40+ in main Sunday worship service.  Last night we had about 45. Dalton turned 14. Highschool homeschool started and we are doing well. I'm on Week 3 of a healthy living streak - stopped chomping my cuticles when nervous or sad. Several salvation decisions at church just last night. Discovery of an online gradebook for homeschool! Blackie dog who was quite sick in July is doing alright. My dear husband fixed up our porch recently and it's looking great!
I'm not a nurse but I've seen lots of blood and know how to get out hook worms from little boys' feet. I've never had a cooking class but I can fix things without a recipe that taste really great.  Usually!

Birthday Boy

This is my favorite all-time photo of my precious Dalton.  Tomorrow he turns 14!  Almost a man!  Yes, and where has the time gone?  Abraham Lincoln once said, "And in the end, it's not the years in your life that count.  It's the life in your years."  We've had some real live-wire moments together and learned much from each other.  Yet, as a mother, I feel there is so much more you need to know.  There's so much more I need to tell you.  Ah, but there is so little time. Papa measured all the boys this morning and guess who has grown the most in recent months - you got it - Dalton.  It won't be long before he passes all the others in a trail of dust. A Prayer for a Boy May the Lord keep you safe from all harm and hurting May He guide you gently and keep you smiling May He always remind you of what is good and right May He give you grace to accept what you must, and  His perfect wisdom to know when to really fight. Happy...

A Little Find

October 11, 2007 Tomorrow we go to camp.  It is a retreat with the church from Remanso.  Adilson and Uncle Harold will be there.  Maybe Uncle Harold will sing Tom Dooley. Found this in one of Greyson's old notebooks while cleaning out the school room this week...  brought a tear to my eye.

Full House

So nice to have over 45 people in attendance at our main worship service this past Sunday night.  Many visitors came to accompany students receiving diplomas for Source of Light Bible studies. Byron goes by bike to make all his visits.  He makes rounds going to each house at least once every two weeks to get finished lessons, help with answers and deliver new ones.  Few of his Source of Life students ever come to church.  It was especially rewarding to see such a good number turn out for this diploma awards ceremony.  Keep on biking, Byron!  God knows and will give the increase in His time!
