Furlough Frenzy

And so it begins... the packing and planning  the wondering and worrying... like "Who's going to take care of my old dog while I'm gone?" "Who 's going to sta y in our house?"  Kid's Camp 2012 The re living of important moments - the good and the bad - of the past four ye ars of this term of service as we get ready to give report in the States to our churches.  While packing up stuff for storage, we have to pack up little pieces of o urs elves and put them aside for a bit.  We have to get out the American clothes and brush off the dust and look for moth holes and get set to put on our USA cult ure again. It's a rough time, emoti onally drai ni ng.  Add to it all the stress of normal life in a th ird world country, ra is ing teen age boys , and f iguring out who's going to do what in our absence.  I t's a combo made for frenz ied minds. Missionary Twins: All Americans Look Alike

So what do you think?  People in the little towns around the big lake here thought Byron's brother had come to work with him here in the valley when Bruce Dennis came to our area a few years back.  You know that all Americans look the same... These two get some unusual looks from time to time with people calling them by the wrong name and wondering.  It doesn't help much when they dress nearly the same on the same day!  I imagine the beards and glasses aid to the confusion. These photos were taken on Byron's birthday last week.  Byron hit the big 49!  Happy Birthday, honey!
